GULMARG

Sixty kilometers west of Srinagar , the winter skiing and summer golfing resort of Gulmarg sits on a high mountain plateau.  It is a beautiful flower filled meadow in summer and when the snow falls in December it is transformed into one of the world’s greatest winter adventure playgrounds.

THE MOUNTAIN

Mt Apharwat and surrounding peaks offer a diverse range of skiing opportunities from long open alpine bowls to sheltered tree runs down to surrounding villages.

THE SNOW

Reliable snow falls beginning mid December through to the end of March blanket the mountain in deep dry snow giving visitors some of the best skiing and riding conditions found anywhere on earth.
