Hothan Snow Report 27-09-2014

September 27 2014

Looks like a ripper of a day to go out for a few turns this morning before retiring to watch the footy this afternoon.

Sunny with a light southeasterly and we have had a decent freeze overnight. It will soften pretty quickly but we will have another day of great spring snow conditions, and enough terrain open for everyone to get their fix.

Snake Gully is still being groomed and in good shape while the rest of Heavenly is ungroomed but there are still lots of good lines to ski. Slalom Gully is far from perfect but you can get down without hitting rocks while the rest of the Village Loop and Sun Run are in decent shape. The Summit has a few big bare patches that are easily avoidable and there is plenty of open spaces up there for first timers. Big D is close to perfect.

Pretty amazing to think we have made it this far in such decent shape considering we have had only 22cm of snow since the 2nd of August, while enjoying great spring snow conditions virtually the whole time. A bloody great result really.

Enjoy the last of it………….. and may your team win!

Cheers. Bill.
