Hotham Snow Report, 27 August 2014
August 27 2014The perpetual spring continues!
A cloudless sky and hardly a breath of wind in the village this morning. Although the temperature only just touched zero overnight, we have had a solid freeze, probably due to the low humidity and likely inversion. It will be hard and fast early and then soften pretty quickly throughout the morning, so follow the sun for great spring snow conditions.
Looks like awesome conditions for all the Fis Racers who are in town. If you want to really see some skis bend and carve, pull up a pew at Snake Gully Hut, listen to DJ Eddy explain the nuances of quality turns, and watch some of the best guys and gals strutt their stuff.
Slap it on and enjoy.
Cheers Bill.
