Hotham Snow Report, 18 August 2014

August 18 2014

The greatest thing about the aussie winter is the variety of conditions we can cop at any time of the season. Today is looking like a bit of the damp variety.

We had a few centimeters of snow late yesterday and overnight, but it has warmed and now a few mm of rain has fallen and turned it to slush. It is drizzly at the moment but the radar isn’t showing a great deal of precipitation coming, and it may turn to snow again later in the day. There is a strong southeasterly blowing which will be ripping up the valley and may cause a few of the outer lifts to be on hold.

Don’t let a little weather put you off though as the turns should be pretty soft and fun out there. Don your most waterproof jacket, pack your spare undies and have a great day.

Cheers Bill
